Our Story

In 2020, a few dedicated parents noticed the large number of girls wanting to play volleyball during the high school season. With limited local opportunities, these parents decided to put together a fun recreation and developmental league for girls in our community. It was a huge success with over 80 girls coming out to play.

From there, this group of amazing community-minded leaders took it a step further and launched the Squamish Youth Girls Volleyball Club!

An outlet for fun physical, social, and athletic activity and growth is more important for young people now more than ever. Our organization has a number of coaches with extensive volleyball backgrounds, who have all stepped up to volunteer and put this club together. 

This is a community club, and building a program from the ground up is no small feat. The club has grown to now include girls teams at the U14-U18 age groups, and a U18 boys team. Club teams participate in sanctioned Volleyball BC tournaments (including Provincials).

The club also runs a weekly development night for both new and experienced players. We are working very hard to eliminate barriers to entry and to ensure this program is accessible to all local families.
